Both our bands are funded by band members through yearly subscriptions and fundraising activities such as ceilidhs and paid performances. However, we sometimes require additional financial assistance to help with tuition, uniform and travel costs and acknowledge the continued support of our key partners.
Pipe Band-A-Thon: 23rd June 2013:
The band held it’s first ever sponsored Pipe-Band-A-Thon on the Mound Precinct outside the National Galleries on Sunday 23rd June. Starting at 10am, a mixture of band, duet and solo performances kept the music going continuously for 6hrs through torrential rain and sunny spells to help raise an excellent four-figure sum for band funds. Many thanks to everyone who played and supported us during this event.

IDES are long term supporters of the band who once again came up trumphs with some excellent pledges.
